Sgwarnog: In the Field

Downbeat

I’m sure there is a project to be had going around Leeds recording images of post-it note messages displayed from the windows of self-isolating students.  This one is in Broadcasting Tower. Not all of them are as downbeat as this one.

After work I stopped off in Guiseley to take in an FA Youth Cup (U18) fixture between Guiseley and FC Halifax Town. It is one of the vagaries of current rules and restrictions that 260 of us were welcome to enter the ground, observe social distancing and view this youth fixture at Nethermoor Park, while there is no admittance whatsoever to Guiseley’s first team fixtures at the same ground as they are classed as a club playing sport at an elite level.

And I appreciate that this isn’t a coherent journal entry in terms of offering a point of view or an argument. And to some the two elements may seem contradictory. It was just my day.
