Against The Mist

This one is all about the bush set against a backdrop of mist, so I decided when I shot it that a square format best suited the subject. Loved the delicate yellow leaves in the soft light and the mist helped to obscure otherwise distracting elements in the distance.

The dark stems draw the eye into the centre of the frame being the most dissimilar tones and I should probable lighten those poking out of the right side.

Getting the initially blueish sky to a more neutral white balance was a bit tricky, but I think it helps the simplicity of the image.
