A little windswept

An enjoyable day at Snells Beach, reading and relaxing. Late this afternoon I went to the mudflats. The birds were notable for absence. This black morph Torea Pango (Variable oystercatcher) was on its own on some rocks not long emerged from being covered by the high tide.

When I got back up to the house, a tui left the Little Johns on the roadside lawn and flew high into a tree. I have included a majorly cropped photo of it as an extra. The new Pentax makes really good photos.
