Looking down the hill and across to the hamlet of Edlingham. Behind the railway viaduct, built for an ill-fated railway line in 1881, stands the remains of Edlingham Castle which has been there since the 14th century. Visually, just above and to the right, you can see St John the Baptist church, parts of which date back to 1050!
