Iris.....

This Iris is an amazing colour. It is almost black/ navy blue in some lights. It was given to me by a lovely friend. It has been very warm with a strong nor-west wind here today. The wind is blowing the pink and white petals of the flowering cherry tree around the garden. The petals and whole flowers are thick on the lawn and patio. We have nature’s pink carpet. It looks like coconut ice. Very pretty but a bit of a pain to take and sweep up. But I still wouldn’t want to be without the cherry tree.
