Beneath Biscay

By Douglian

Start the week

Still some waves around together with some early-bird surfers. Morning after the first night of 11pm-6am curfew. At least we don't have to stay home and the shops and bars remain open. The worst is not being able to leave the city. Rural businesses in Asturias are already feeling the pinch, given that the three cities, which are in isolation, contain about two thirds of the population of Asturias.

Update: The president of the regional Asturias government has just announced the closing of its frontiers from tomorrow night until further notice. For me it's academic. As a resident of Gijón I can't even leave the city, let alone leave Asturias. I hope they do whatever it needs to take pressure of the hospital staff. It's going to be a long winter.
