Damp

Yes, back to routine. 

In the outside world it has been an eventful day. In mine, not. 

The chores will not take care of themselves, sadly. 

Being positive about it all, my laundry basket is empty and the ironing basket is full. My fridge is full. My house insurances are renewed. My credit card statements have been checked. I have eaten well. 

The coffee. In some ways it was enjoyable. The weather was not, and being outside, I was participating as opposed to spectating. 

I will say no more on the meteorological elements to the day, apart from the fact that as so often happens, this eastern corner of the country escapes the worst while others get truly hammered.
