TXL Closes With Flight AF1235 to Paris

The weather was sensational which was as well since many were there to pay fond and emotional respects to this airport and Air France .AF made the first flight in ,so only fitting they bid farewell.. In the extra you see the jet trundling a route of honour over the bridge.Then back onto the runway where it then received a  water salute. In  January 1960 they made the first passenger flight .The rest as they say is history .Closure is due to Herr Müller who refused to accept  the results of the referendum as to whether TXL remain open .Then came the virus and air travel at a stand still .More history .
