All part of the story

Ice cold and Alice

Sunshine, rain, hail, rainbows. By the time we had finished ear tagging the hoggs our feet and hands were ice cold.  That last hail shower was brutal - talk about fresh air.

This is Alice, aged 11.  She was one of our first Cheviot pet lambs, orphaned but picked up and rescued by M, aged 8.  Alice lives most of the year with the Herdwicks, although she keeps herself to herself mostly.  At the moment she is indoors with the hoggs because she is too old to go to the tup any more.

Extra: I would have blipped the Aurora but annoyingly I took this one minutes before midnight.  The photographs I took after midnight (therefore today) were not as dramatic.
