My topsy-turvy life

Grab a badger by its snout

We had a trip over to Telford to drop a pre-babyshower present off at a friend's house so decided to nip over to Apley Woods for a walk. I've not been there since I got the new job so it was quite nice to take Owen (and Aaron & Louisa*) and have a proper wander round. He loved the duck pond, although he was disappointed the ducks didn't want to play, and was intrigued by the sculptures dotted around, including the Badgers.

As we headed back towards the car we heard a loud cracking and turned round just in time to see a teenager falling through a tree from about 20 feet up. We rushed round to see if he was OK and there was already a lady on the scene dialling 999. He was at least conscious and there were no limbs at inappropriate angles but he was instructed to stay still while we waited for the paramedics to arrive. Not quite what I expected from a gentle stroll in the woods.
