Flowers, a gator and a pecker (woodpecker!)

Again I didn’t have too much time to take pictures today. Managed to grab a quick shot of these flowers at the outdoor gathering of a group of friends. Not having too many pictures from today, though, gave me the opportunity to put a couple from yesterday into the extras. I couldn’t get the pileated woodpecker to cooperate and turn the red part of his head so I could see it, but I still love my new zoom (thanks Pipersmom and Char9). Also used that zoom to get a close-up of this alligator… Apparently sandhill crane is not on the menu!
