Elusive

The weather had thankfully improved from yesterday evening, the rain had gone by late morning and the wind had dropped .
I had to go do a security check at work thankfully all was fine . While out I decided to take a drive out to Fiskerton fen for a walk and to see what was around . A lovely stone chat and quite a few Fieldfare around see extras . I decided to hang around the hide area before heading home as there had been reports of 3 bitterns been seen the other day. Starting to get cold i was close to giving up when I thought I  spotted one hiding away in the reeds on the opposite side . I said to a chap who was there to get his scope and look in the reeds. Thankfully I was right and we all enjoyed watching it hiding in the reeds which is what they like to do. So my blip has to be a well cropped poor record shot of the bird of the day. 
Back home for some lunch and football on TV and then possibly a film tonight
