Another bird blip today,...

... from our Sunday visit to Harlow Carr Gardens.

This was my first sighting, this year, of a great spotted woodpecker; it paid a brief but colourful visit to the bird feeder.

Later on, we spotted what I reliably informed is a female kestrel, high up in a tree (see the extra).
