The watcher in the woods

I caught a glimpse of this young stag today watching me through a gap in some trees. I managed to grab a quick snap of him before he turned tail and moved away.

I couldn't help but wonder how is future will map out. Experience has taught me that stags in this area don't live a very long life as the local low life's can't seem to keep their hands off them.

Maybe he'll be one of those exceptional stags that quickly learn the best hiding places and how to avoid the black spots. Maybe he'll quickly learn the ropes from a wise elder stag although they are few and far between in this area. He he will have to learn them quickly if he is to survive for very long.

Only time will tell. Lets hope we meet again...
