Hello swamp chicken!

The title is an alternative name for the common Moorhen (Gallinula chloropus) and I really rather like it!

As for the Waterhen (another name) herself, I bloody love them. The babies (not too long now) are one of the most comical baby birds I get to see when down by the water and I'm never not amused by the ridiculous discrepancy between the chicks' body size and their enormous feet.

Felt shite all day and hence the wander to the canal for some fresh air. This beauty made it worth it.
