Red Stems

Last day of my working week, which went much the same as all  l the others.  I was too busy, with too many meetings over the lunchtime period and the rest of the afternoon,  so no lunchtime escape for a walk around the block.  I also ended up working too late to finish a few things off, as I am taking a couple of days annual leave.  In our management team meeting this afternoon, we all had to say something that was making us feel optimistic.  We were picked randomly – and I was second, so I mumbled on about something positive at work.  What I should have said, was that I was feeling optimistic about BB’s schooling, as despite all the interruptions they have had over the past year he got really excellent reports from all his teachers, which puts him in a good place for moving into s4.  He’s very diligent and conscientious, but is really fed up of home schooling, so  I think that the positive feedback has given him a little boost.
I eventually got out for my walk rather late and left BB and TT to listen out for the supermarket delivery.  It has been a dreich day and a dreich night, but good to round off the day with some exercise and fresh air.
I was blipless, but spotted these red stems on my walk tonight.
