Floods on the River Len

Very light snow all day, drifting in the wind, it didn’t amount to very much although it remained below freezing all day.

As expected the phone call came at 8.00am to say that Doreen’s carer wouldn’t be able to make it this morning. Then the physio called to cancel the appointment. Susan went get her mum up and give her breakfast. It was good fortune that the district nurse turned up while Susan was there which meant they could have a good chat about various things.

We had a good walk through quite deep valley virgin snow across both golf courses, crunching through the top layer. Plenty of people about with sledges. When you come to think about it there are very few places in the locality that have any decent slopes for sledging. The more we thought about it the more we realised that apart from Mote Park and the Woodland Trust there is very little other public open space around.

Today’s blip is of the flooded River Len at Caring Lane bridge. Almost a mono, not the theme which is “romance” This is the bridge earlier in the year: https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2797547345179312934
