Spring?

A lovely morning with warmth in the sun as we walked along the Leeds - Liverpool canal to Saltaire.  There was still a lot of ice on the canal ( why do people feel they have to throw things on the ice?!) which was creating some rising mist and there was some occasional patches of cloud inversion but when we sat in the sun in Roberts Park with a coffee from the Half Moon cafe it felt lovely.

It was quite busy as it is half term but not unpleasant and I’m glad we got out in the morning as we’ve since heard that the St Ives Estate was rammed this afternoon.
We walked back along the river (Aire) path, a mistake as it was very muddy/icy. I’m not worried too much by a few splashes of mud but when I heard someone call their dog, which was heading straight for me, not to jump up I knew what I was in for - muddy paw prints up my legs!

A good start to the week
