Mixed Emotions

I live on the boundary of Red Squirrel territory. A grey was found to have antibodies to Squirrel Pox close to here.
I hadn’t seen a squirrel in my garden for about two years so I was hoping that they were decreasing.
However I still love seeing wildlife in my garden. I wonder if the squirrel was so bold because the cats are spending more time indoors to avoid the dog (note the pup ravaged lawn)
