BROKEN STILE

Neil ran 10 miles this morning but he was OK for our planned afternoon walk.  We headed for Washingwell Woods.  The weather was fine but there was a cold wind.  It was very muddy in the woods and slippy in places by the Black Burn.  The woods were quite busy. I remarked to Neil that everyone except us had either a dog with them or children.  Neil pointed out that I did actually have my own child with me ... him.

I have added a collage of shots from the woods.  Top left shows me beside a big mound of snow by the side of the road near the entrance to the woods,. The other shots are of Neil among the tall trees and by the Black Burn.

We came out of the woods in Front Street and carried on to do a bit of shopping in Tesco.  Then I nipped into the Health Centre to hand in my blood pressure chart. Ive been taking readings at home for a week..... every one was high.  So I'm expecting a call from the GP to find out what her next move is.

Neil came home with me and stayed for a while until his girlfriend Rachael came to pick him up.

Slimming World Zoom meeting this evening.  I lost half a pound this week.  The " Christmas Weight Gain " is proving very difficult to shift.

Abstract Thursday today has the optional theme of 'shapes'.  While we were in the woods I spotted a broken stile and took a photo which I have processed for the challenge. Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting. I have also tagged it for the Derelict Challenge hosted by Marlieske
