Ramblings and Mutterings

The Walk with a Broken Wrist

Did a climb today, how I regretted it.  Even when I was out my head wasn't in the right space, I just wanted to get home.  And as is usual injuries occur when you're going down rather than at the harder points.  It was loose stone that saw my leg start to bend back in on itself, to protect my leg I tried to change my body position and took the full impact on my right wrist.  I have done a proper job in breaking it good and proper.

After the x-ray I had a choice, as they were worried about my transplant medication and anaesthetic I could either go to Morriston for another wait or try for them to manipulate it back in place at Neath.  I decided to go for it at Neath, I had some gas and air as they manipulated.  My God I have never experienced so much pain in my life, they must have heard me throughout the hospital.

It's going to be a difficult 6-8 weeks.

Today I am thankful for:

1.  The care I received at Neath Hospital
