TEA-POTTERY

Strange sort of blip for me. Doesn't really reflect my day which has been good overall. I had a lazy start and worked as a volunteer for the best part of the day. Had a cup of tea when I got home and for an hour sat and pondered a reason for blipping. Nothing really came to mind.
So tired.
Looking around I looked again at out collection of novelty teapots and decided to get a shot of one of them. We have numerous teapots, produced and sold by the company called the Teapottery. We bought ours over a period of years and have treasured them for their unusual and charming style. The company was originally called Swineside Ceramics and changed it's trading name to the Teapottery when they enjoyed success and growth which required moving to larger premises. They opened an outlet in Keswick and that is where we had ours from. The owners retired in 2004 and the company carried on, now trading as  Ceramic Inspirations and still trading from the premises in Leyburn, Yorkshire. But sadly the Keswick outlet was closed and we no longer have access when we go to the Lakes for a holiday. But if anyone wants to have a look the range is expansive and many of the original designs are still available.  I love them for their quirky design details. The tube of toothpaste carries the logo 'Cupgate' toothpaste.  Clever.
Having stressed over blipping and taken a pretty average photo using off camera flash, I feel I need another cup of tea.
All the teapots are completely functional and fit for purpose but ours are kept as ornament to reduce the risk of damage.

Thanks for stars and comments yesterday. Have a fine Thursday and stay safe.
