Nearly there

I’m just about to stitch the final two words in my pandemic quilt. Those words will be Biden / Harris, their election win being one of very few hopeful events of the last few years. It’s been a long project started 25 years ago and often neglected since then. It has challenged me all the way along and now - well it’s weird that the end is in sight. It's really messy at the moment with chalk marks, fluff from the batting and tacking stitches, once it's finished properly and washed it'll gleam.
The colours and textures are really hard to photograph, I don't really know what I'm doing; if anyone has any ideas I'd like to hear them.

I’m already thinking about my next project, I’m greatly taken by story stitching but nothing tangible yet.
Edit: This too will pass (a slight misquote) is for my youngest son - we talk a lot about the massive changes, loss of opportunity and also possibilities. He's 30 and a fine dining chef, so his career and life trajectory has completely upended this year. It's a lot to take on but as with all things, it'll pass/ In fact now I think of it I should have quoted George Harrison...

Sewing has sustained me throughout all three lockdowns and I’m grateful for it.

A previous iteration was a blip subject on February 19th here
