Curlew

We walked out from Pateley Bridge up to the remote remains of the Prosperous and Providence Lead mines, sunny in parts with a chill wind, one of those days where it felt like there was relatively little to see, we saw this curlew in a field on the way home, I love these birds.
The middle picture is an unexpected result of Nik Collection editing - it took me by surprise and made me smile - oh the joys of experimenting! I’ve turned it on it’s side to fit in the triptych - maybe you can make out the beak and body.
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

Many thanks for the comments, hearts and stars generously sprinkled on yesterday’s rhododendron post - very much appreciated
