Hood Canal Bridge

We are home...what a drive it was today.  We woke to 30 plus mile an hour winds and big whitecaps on the bay.  We woke son early to get going because he has two bridges to cross that can close in high winds.  The Hood Canal Bridge, pictured here, and the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.  We cleaned up and left, this was out the truck window crossing the Hood Canal Bridge, the waves were crashing over the roadway.  I have always found this bridge interesting because it is a floating bridge and there are often waves on one side but not the other.  Son made it back to school safe and we are home and unpacked ready for regular routine again, the vacation was great.
