Sleeping in the Sun

Today we walked to the top of Owl Crag, from where we could look down on the world. It's a lovely place to go, being just a 10 minute drive from home, and then a short walk to a fantastic viewpoint. Jan has blipped the view from the top.
The lake below the crag, Finsviken, was still ice-covered, except where the main stream flowed in, where there was a large oval shaped area of open water. On the edge of the open water were 4 swans sleeping in the sun, together with twelve pairs of Canada Geese.
We sat there a long time, looking over the views to the distant hills and the sea, and watching the resting birds below us.
