Roadmap Out Of Lockdown Step 2 - Day 12

Newton Park, Newton St Loe, near Bath

“The estate includes a landscaped park, near the village of Newton St Loe, designed by Capability Brown, and now owned by the Duchy of Cornwall... Some of the park is leased to Bath Spa University, which maintains the historic Georgian manor house and ornamental lakes, as well as Newton Saint Loe Castle. The park is grade II listed. Corston Brook flows through the west of the park and can be described as terraced, with numerous weirs, which have allowed for the creation of two large fish ponds...” Wikipedia

Another mini-escape today, only ten minutes up the road but a different world, so peaceful and green. After two hours walking around the village of Newton St Loe, and the grounds of Newton Park (where I used to go on teacher training courses), K and I found a sunny cafe for a cuppa and more nattering. In my first extra, cute baby farm animals, and in my second extra, scenes from our walk.

Then this afternoon the dreaded haircut. After a gap of 5 months, it was an even more traumatic experience than usual! Another day of cloudless skies and even warmer at 18 degrees.

Take care, stay safe and well...

(Note to self: don’t take so many photos when you’re out then it won’t take you three hours to try and decide which one you like best!!)
