Flying trip to Stamford today to a jewellers to choose a signet ring for our son’s upcoming 18th. Described by the poet Sir John Betjemen as the “finest stone town” in England. It was similarly ranked top by The Times newspaper in 2013. 

A trip worthy of sporting my best brogue boots, jacket (with subtle Obey badge) and Sheperd Fairey t-shirt.

A large hardback book revealed there was a choice of 30 different crest’s for our sir name, but instead went for an engraving of his initials, as we have never traced our origins. “Common as muck” we are!

All Saints Brewery
Melbourn Bros’ All Saints Brewery is located in the shadow of the 14th century All Saints Church with the current brewery established in 1825. It brews organic handcrafted fruit beers, using antique steam brewing equipment. Next time!

Wellness
A 3 hour trip in total I returned feeling very emotional (with happiness) but exhausted, despite being driven there and back. Briskish 2 mile dog walk in the morning.
