Mandarin Duck Reflected

I took a little time out today to have a wander around Stockgrove in the hope of spotting a mandarin duck. I found just one, well hidden and asleep on an island in the lake. All good things are worth waiting for and, after I'd watched him for about twenty, largely inactive, minutes, a moorhen did me a favour and chased him into the water and off he swan towards the opposite shore. Thankfully, the lake isn't too big :) I simply love his beautiful, vibrant colours!

This evening was the camera club’s third and final competition for the print league - just the print of the year comp left for this season now - and then a whole summer to get out and take more varied images for the next season, as life (hopefully)  becomes less and less restricted!

Many thanks for everything for yesterday's tulips!
