Still Waiting

She’s easy to spot now that the artichoke leaves are no longer green. I’m amazed that she survived the hail storm we had Saturday evening. Because of cooler weather there are not many flies about. She seems to be resting, but the alert antennae tell me otherwise. Perhaps her excess weight is tiring on the legs.

Today was cold. Although the mountains were bare yesterday they are now well coated in snow on the lower reaches. The clouds did not clear from the tops to see how much there is up there.
