Hydrangea

Weird how things pan out.  I had an early haircut and was home by 10am and pretty much just pootled about.
I heard doors banging and glanced out the window to see two couples which I instantly recognised as family friends from my childhood.  I do follow the brother and sister on Facebook but haven't seen them for so many years.  What an absolute thrill that was.  One couple live in Wanganui (North Island) the other from Cromwell (South Island).  Lots of hugs and chatter, there were many years of catching up.
Then just as they asked us to join them for lunch in Timaru, my mobile rang twice which I ignored, but when the landline rang I thought I best answer it.  Glad I did, as it was the decorators asking if we were home and could they come out this afternoon to start the wall papering.  How could I refuse even though it would have been nice to lunch with our old friends.  Our friends stayed on for a while, the wallpaper twosome arrived within 10 minutes.
And, OMG I absolutely love it, very different but very cool.  They will be back at 7.30 in the morning to complete the job.
Then we can move the foyer furniture back, and put the big mirror back up....then I think we're all done.  Its been a bit of a process, first noticed the water oozing from the carpet on the 11 January.
Yay, the makeover is all but complete.
I noticed this hydrangea backlit when I went to bring in the washing, worth a blip I thought.
Oh lordy and gosh.....thanks so very much for your response to yesterdays entry.  Rapt and appreciated.
