Great Ayton, North Yorkshire

One of the many villages and towns we drove through this morning. This was the boyhood home of Cape James Cook. The cottage he lived in was moved stone by stone and rebuilt in Melbourne, Australia in the 1930's.

We then took the B1259 across the North York Moors, what a road..!
