Whimbrels

A lot of whimbrels have been moving through Orkney for some weeks. a friend saw over 80 in a field. Today, I saw 20 on the shore not far from the Hatston ferry pier just west of Kirkwall It seems an annual stop off point for them, so I was hoping to see them.The numbers may build as there were half that number a day or so ago.
