Waiting for dinner

It's been a mix of sunshine, heavy showers and strong wind today.  I did some gardening between the showers and a robin landed right by me with a moth in it's beak.  It's a shame that I didn't have my camera with me!

Starlings are nesting under the eves of the house next door and the youngsters are very noisy and active when their parents arrive with food.  They must be very close to fledging and when they do will be only a few flaps away from the feeders in our gardens.

A jackdaw was nesting in their chimney but those chicks have now left.  My neighbours are going to block up the nesting places but fortunately are waiting until the birds have flown.
