The Top Half

An emergency pizza blip, having forgotten to take my rucksack (complete with phone, camera, keys and, most importantly, winegums) to the allotment when I headed up there to finally plant out the tomatoes and cucumbers which were starting to form a green, living curtain across our bay window. I’ve built some Heath-Robinson cloches and windbreaks for them so the big question is whether they can quickly adapt to and survive the cold nights. Shouldn’t really be a problem at this time of year but it feels risky!
My gardening time having been limited by the lack of that rucksack and winegums, I nipped up to the supermarket for petrol, cold cuts, Malbec and pizza. Just the essentials.
