A day I very much needed....

Today didn't go as planned but it turned out wonderful. I was taking my mom to do some shopping and on the way she got a call that her nephew from Montana was in town and they asked us over for a family dinner. We already had plans made a long time ago but were able to arrange to come over for an hour to say hi. I haven't seen that cousin, his wife and two kids in years. Another cousin was there - one I haven't seen since his wife and father passed away - he is now a single dad raising two special needs boys. So grand to get hugs, catch up on life, shoot the breeze and....

This evening I watched a program my sister has been working on for months now. A mix of a fundraiser for the choir and singing labor songs in solidarity. It reminded me of a song that they sang a year ago called We're All Staying Home Together.

I couldn't ask for a better day...
