Running free

The gaping hole left by Talisker has made this a tough day. He had such a huge presence and interaction in our day to day life, there is no getting away from his absence.

Sigyn has been quiet... Or was she always just a quieter dog behind Talisker? We gave her a proper walk out, something we have been unable to do lately. We walked north from Yesnaby and didn't see a soul. We walked to the cairn above Skaill where Gorgeous proposed to me.

In the afternoon we went and had some horse therapy and got out a ride. It was a welcome break and Jeepers seemed to pick up on our heartache and just hung close very gently.

Red and George enjoyed getting out for the first time in a while.

Thank you to all of you who have left comments the last few days. I've found it too painful to reply just now but I will do soon. It has meant so much reading through them. I've also had some lovely messages from friends and have heard of so many people also shedding a tear for my beautiful boy. He really was an exceptional dog who was loved by so many.

If you view PWs blip, you'll see his extra, a poem written about Talisker by Pawpee.
