Wide Wednesday: Jutting at an angle

The remains of Birnbeck Pier at Weston Super Mare, badly damaged by fire some years ago.  I should really try and get a shot of this place at a later or earlier time of day, when the light would be better, but it is a good hour or more from where I live, assuming even light traffic so it is going to require a special trip which I couldn't manage today.

Having said that it does seem crazy to be complaining about sunshine and a brilliant blue sky, particularly when more rain and wind is on the way.  I was tempted to sub-title this "A Postcard from WSM", for the obvious reasons.
