Härnösand Station

Two days ago I blipped a set of stamps illustrating  railway stations in Sweden. Today I was in town and thought I'd add a photo of our own station. We still have a railway, and a station building, but there is no longer any railway activity in this building.
All the business of a station is now conducted online (buying tickets) or in the bus station next door (waiting for trains etc). This fine building has now become a hamburger restaurant, with some office space rented out upstairs.  Such is the way of things when accountants rule the world.
(I have nothing against accountants, who have an important and worthwhile job, as long as it doesn't involve world ruling!)
Maybe I am a little too cynical because there are some fine trees around the station, currently giving us the beautiful pink blossom seen on my flickr page. Maybe accountants also recognise the value of beauty.
