Life through the lens...

Framing the landscape

“ Many people look but only a few see”
We came across this frame by accident, put in Newton Woods by The National Trust and sponsored by Grand Central Rail.
In the frame you can see the view of Roseberry Topping.

It was a toss up whether to have this as my main blip or the extra one.
I wonder which you would have chosen?

We set off from Great Ayton in search of the bluebells in Newton Woods.
Weather was fine, but glad we put our waterproof over-trousers on as when we reached the woods it started to pour down and rained all the way back to the car.
We certainly enjoyed our late lunch of pork pies from Petch the butchers. Always the very best.

So the photos of the bluebells were not as good as I would have liked. However they still looked so beautiful, even in the rain, and especially interspersed with the lovely little white stars of the greater stitchwort.

Despite the rain we really enjoyed the walk and had a lovely day.

Forgot to mention we had a great pie night, and Mr C especially enjoyed his first couple of pints in ages. Theakstons.
