Caladoir Falls

A dry day today but with very strong winds it has felt very nice to be walking outside. We went for a drive in through the mountains in the Craignure direction thinking that if anyone was looking through big lenses we'd stop. We did see that on one occasion but the only thing moving was a hooded crow. We followed a sign to Grasspoint, which sounded nice and it was a lovely little road with lots of bluebells around. A pretty little bridge too, thought to have been designed by Thomas Telford and built in 1752.

On the way back we stopped near the old bridge I blipped a few days ago and photographed the little falls above the new bridge. We also stopped for milk at the village shop and I took some shots of an old decaying boat on the shore.

We're packing up the house for an early exit tomorrow. We have a ferry booked from Craignure at 12.30 tomorrow. We wanted an early one but they're full. Our landlord works for Calmac and he suggested we drive to Fishnish for the Lochaline Ferry, the small ferries don't need booking and he says they'll take our tickets. It adds about 40 minutes to the journey but gets us on our way four hours earlier. We'll also have another short crossing at Corran and drive on through Glencoe.
