Runny-Eyed Reynard

Leaden skies, thunder and lightning and torrential rain for most of the day. At least we did get a bit of sunshine at times. I photographed a cormorant perched in the gum tree on the island in the lake this morning before the heavens opened. It wasn't spooked by our presence.

At lunchtime a young dog fox, bold as brass, sniffed around the front garden. He isn't in great condition, his fur looks a bit thin in places and he has a sore eye, poor thing.

During a brief sunny period I shot a Roesel's bush cricket nymph, a bishop's mitre shieldbug and a pair of footballer hoverflies in flagrante.
