WETHERSPOONS

I took some codeine last night before bed and I did sleep well.  The pain has almost gone too.  Dentists appointment this afternoon - 6 monthly check up and to see the hygienist.  All went well.  Teeth OK.  As usual I had a " footie chat " with the dentist.  He supports Preston North End but he keeps up to date with the goings on at Newcastle United.

After the dentists I walked the short distance to The Harry Clasper pub ( Wetherspoons. )  Its named after a famous local oarsman who is buried in the nearby St Mary's  churchyard.  The building was originally the local council offices,  The Wide Wednesday challenge is " Under Cover " and you can see that the pub now has some awnings outside so that customers can sit under cover.  There are also 2 ladies under cover in the bus shelter.  Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting.

I did a bit of food shopping before walking home.  It wasn't rainy but there was dampness in the air and it was very overcast.  After unpacking the shopping and doing a  few chores I had a nap for around an hour.  Still need to catch up on some sleep.

Then I had my tea and it was time for a Zoom blipmeet.  Lovely to see everyone again - and a few new faces ( to me anyway ). Lots of interesting chat.
