Just resting

No idea how it got there. It was still breathing and there was no sign of any external injuries although clearly it couldn't move. If it could, it would have been miles away before I got my camera out. Unable to bring ourselves to finish it off we opted to move it off the pavement and onto the grass and let it get on with either recovering or shuffling off its mortal coil.

It's what it would have wanted...
