Reed warbler

This afternoon F and I did a recce of a reserve visit for the birdwatching group on Wednesday. We went to Pyll Penarth reserve near Newtown. I wanted to check that everything was alright after lockdown.

The hides were open and windows removed so that will be safe for everyone. We saw a flock of long tailed tits and a blue tit with caterpillars (extra). My main blip is of a reed warbler gathering nesting materials from the reeds and we spotted a group of juveniles with flapping wings. They were a delight to watch.
