Buttercups and blue skies

Another glorious day! We went for another two wheeled expedition around the villages to the north of Harrogate. This shot was taken in the village of Burton Leonard.
In the past, the village green and grass verges have often been mown to within an inch of their life. I notice that recently they are being left for the grass and wild flowers to grow a little which I think looks much nicer and it provides a better environment for all sorts of insect wildlife.
I was trying to be a little arty with this shot, and I quite like the dreamy image I got. (It's a pity there's a car in there).
The main part of the village green was a magnificent carpet of daises which I included as an extra.
