Get Out Of Gaol For Free

I had a sublime couple of hours today, walking and observing the streets of sleepy Llanidloes, Mid Wales. There is a lot of important history attached to this charming market town, and I was photographing this fascinating building when the lady walked through the shot. The building was built in 1864 and was originally the town gaol (Not jail apparently) and then latterly became the magistrates court. It has a blue plaque on the front wall. I felt the lady's attire was very fitting. I spoke to her later and she had been resident here since birth and extolled the virtues of living in this very quiet and pleasant town. I am a convert already and didn't need convincing. Glorious architecture, extremely friendly people, and a brilliant Indian Takeaway, which I can recommend.  The food is so good it is best eaten and not wasted !!
