Lunar Thorn

The weekend’s warmer weather is helping with the moths! We had a few more last night ( not loads) but at least 5 species which included this beauty and also a rather duller one which is a new one to our garden. It marks the 110th moth species recorded in our little ‘ middle of a housing estate’ back garden which we are quite pleased about.
We drove N back to Manchester today and used the journey to listen to ‘ The Garden Jungle’ by Dave Goulson. It makes for interesting reading..... chapter 4 ‘ The toxic cocktail’ is a bit heavy but otherwise quite fascinating.
