Newt

When my little friend was here a few days ago pond dipping, I told her about checking the moss we pulled out for crawlies and newts, we then put the moss etc into a large container to double check. When I went to look today the water had cleared and there were still lots of tiny life swimming about and I caught sight of a newt we had missed. Good job we didn't dispose of the stuff we pulled out.
Tonight I have strained the bucket through the pond dipping net and all the little creatures and newt are safely back in the pond.
