a lifetime burning

Grey Day

I've been busy today, dealing with the laundry from Jess's visit at the weekend, baking bread for the week ahead and so on.  The day has been very mild but largely overcast, although the sun has now broken through.  I took this shot on a whim and rather like the softness and the tones. It won't be every one's cup of tea, but it works for me.

The background is actually the weathered wooden fence behind the plant, which is completely out of focus for the macro lens.
